A decorative selection usually dies on lead time, not on taste. Luminart has been representing European decorative collections in Canada since 1996, and the reason we reach for them is the shelf behind the catalogue: the collections they carry, Rotaliana and tossB among them, come with Quick Ship options on a slice of the range. 3tubes
Three glass tubes carried on a frame slim enough to drop out of the picture, so what’s over the table reads as light rather than fixture. Charles Kalpakian drew it for tossB.
In the Wind Family
A ring that changes shape as you walk under it, which is why it’s worth hanging where people move. Arihiro Miyake designed the family, and it works over a single table or in a drift down a stairwell.
Kepler Pendant
Kepler is a sculpture that happens to light a room. Faceted, so it never looks the same twice from two seats, and it wants somewhere people walk past rather than sit and stare.
Pop Magic is the playful end of the card. Coloured shades in a composition, hung at different heights, and it lands in the rooms where a single quiet pendant would be the wrong answer.
