Being close shows up in ordinary ways. We confirm lead times with the factory for each order, the factory will take a call about a length or a finish, and custom work can be reviewed with them directly, a short trip from Ottawa.

What it’s made of

Cork, wool felt, aluminum. Cork and wool felt soften a room as well as light it, which is why the range turns up in offices and institutional spaces as often as it does in living rooms.

Standard products, built by people who do custom

Luciole’s team came up through custom manufacturing, engineering and design. That order matters. A standard catalogue written by people who spent years making one-offs tends to have the awkward sizes in it, and to survive a request for a length nobody planned for.

Where we reach for it

Commercial, institutional and residential, and most often where a room needs a decorative fixture that isn’t going to look out of place beside architectural lighting. Ask us for the range if you have a ceiling and a budget and no idea what belongs in it yet.
