Most of the decorative lighting specified in Canada is made somewhere else. Luciole is made in Montreal.

That is the whole argument, and it shows up in the ordinary ways rather than the romantic ones. Lead times you can hold a schedule to. A factory that will take a call about a length or a finish. Custom work that doesn’t have to cross an ocean twice before anyone sees it.

What it’s made of

Cork, wool felt, aluminium. The materials are doing acoustic and visual work at the same time, which is why the range turns up in offices and institutional spaces as often as it does in living rooms.

Standard products, built by people who do custom

Luciole’s team came up through custom manufacturing, engineering and design. That order matters. A standard catalogue written by people who spent years making one-offs tends to have the awkward sizes in it, and to survive a request for a length nobody planned for.

Commercial, institutional and residential, and most often where a room needs a decorative fixture that isn’t going to look out of place beside architectural lighting. Ask us for the range if you have a ceiling and a budget and no idea what belongs in it yet.
