The Loeb Building recognizes the financial contributions made to Carleton by Ottawa’s Loeb family. It houses offices for the Faculty of Public Affairs, as well as various academic departments, a cafeteria and lounge, classrooms and laboratories. It is also home to the University’s Music department with its extensive collection of musical instruments, scores and periodicals.
Flux worked with CSV Architects to provide lighting solutions for the Study Space area of the Loeb Building. As it’s an open space we selected acoustic lighting, a multi-purpose solution that not only provides quality lighting but also helps to absorb sound. Shown here are some clusters of the Focal Point Skydome Edge, as well as the BuzziJet from BuzziSpace.
