JOULE
Ottawa, Ontario

Flux worked with Chmiel Architects to bring light to the unique Joule space, (the Canadian Medical Association’s newest company). As a new entity, they saw that their headquarters should be a reflection of their corporate brand: cutting edge, innovative and collaborative. The use of ALW Moonrings throughout the space as general lighting was an inspired choice and about as far away from the typical 2’x4’ office aesthetic as one could get, giving the space a cool futuristic yet soft vibe. Lighting is used strategically to provide grounding and definition to the various collaborative areas on the floor, and include cylinders, globes and custom coloured orbs throughout.
